Dr Deji West is a seasoned finance executive and business leader with extensive experience in trade finance, commodities, and corporate strategy. At Africa Trade Finance Company, he provides strategic direction and supports the company’s mission to expand access to reliable, transparent, and sustainable trade finance solutions across Africa. Dr West holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, an Executive MBA and BSc in Civil Engineering from City University London, and is a Chartered Accountant – a Fellow of both ICAEW and ICAN. His career includes senior leadership roles as Group CFO at major Nigerian oil and gas companies such as Sahara Group, Afren, and Aradel, where he led fundraising, financial restructuring, and high-level strategy execution. He is also Chairman of Plural Health, a digital health technology firm, and Managing Partner at Westsons, a consulting and commodities enterprise. Dr. West brings strong financial acumen, operational leadership, and deep transactional experience to Africa Trade Finance Company, helping drive growth, strengthen partnerships, and support businesses across the continent.
